  Our guides are passionate about waterfowl hunting and will work hard to make sure you have the best possible time while hunting with us. 

  At James Creek Outfitters, we offer Guided Snow Goose hunts during the Spring Snow Goose Conservation Season.  We hunt privately leased farms near Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area – a waterfowl refuge that annually stages large numbers snow geese during their return trip to the arctic tundra.  Because of our close proximity to the refuge we are able to take advantage of the birds as they move throughout the day from the security of the refuge to nearby fields to satisfy their ravenous appetites.
We also guide for Snow Geese in the Finger Lakes Region of New York as well as further north towards the St. Lawrence River - the staging area when the birds leave Pennsylvania.

  We hunt the majority of time in agricultural fields utilizing spreads of
Snow Goose decoys.  You will hunt in a layout situation with layout chairs in white suits in rigs of 1,000 or more decoys. This allows us to easily move or shift as weather and field conditions dictate- often during the same day. 

  Our new clients often wonder what items to bring on their Snow Goose hunt.  We have compiled a list of a few items that you may want to consider to make your hunt more enjoyable.

- Appropriate clothing –we recommend dressing in layers.  Camouflage clothing is best with particular attention to your upper body, especially your face.  We recommend a face mask.

- Food and drink (no alcohol please).  We will start the day at a local convenience store, so you can stock up on any items you may have forgotten.  We recommend bringing lunch to the field.

- Camera & Binoculars

- Headlamp

- All Licenses, including your PA or New York hunting license,
Pa Migratory Bird Hunting Permit,
Snow Goose Conservation Permit and Federal Duck Stamp.

When hunting New York, you must also register with the New York HIP Program.

- Large Coolers, Plastic Bags and Knives to clean your birds. 
Federal law requires one fully feathered wing to remain during transport
to your home.  Bird cleaning will be the hunter’s responsibility.
